Two suspected drug traders, including one Rohingya, killed in ‘gunfight’ in Teknaf

Two people, including a Rohingya man, were killed in a reported gunfight with police in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.

The deceased were identified as Ahamad Hossain (45), son of Hamid Hossain of Hatiar Ghona area of Teknaf sadar union and Abdur Rahman (46) of late Kala Mia of Nayapara (D-block) Rohingya camp.

Police claimed that both were engaged in Yaba trading.

Sources said the incident took place at Uttar Mali hill area of Parjaton Bazar of Teknaf sadar union on early Saturday. During the gunfight, three police members were injured.
